What to Make of TabTrade - Launched March 2026, Here Is the Deal

TabTrade - What It Is

TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

His background matters. It means the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. Still more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.

What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, that range is broad.

The Software

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. Many pick one platform. Getting both matters. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders prefer it after using both.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for bots but requires the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is apparently in the works. That should be a good addition once it is live.

Accounts and Pricing

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Good for people who want simple pricing.

Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. Meaning your real cost can sit under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. TabTrade does not.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not for typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.

How Fast Are the Fills

This is where this broker actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.

Does it matter? If you trade small timeframes, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. The point is the infrastructure is there. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Pair that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get holds up. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.

Safety

Now, the thing you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.

That said. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. That does not guarantee anything. It does be part of how you think about it.

What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off makes sense comes down to your priorities.
